Wednesday Warm Up

What up everyone! Things are literally warming up all around – my “icy” warning does not come on in my car anymore first thing in the morning (good thing, you know how craazy these SoCal roads can get in the winter – HA!), and my bags are pretty much packed for this:

While I’m away, I imagine the fam bam will be spending their weekend scrubbing down the house to make it shine by the time I get home playing video games and apparently getting a visit from my in-laws (oops, I think I may miss them!).  There will also be some football, of course! This weekend was great, or should I say GRATE?

By default, whether you are a fan of the game or not, if you live under our roof, we are a Niner Nation and will be rooting them on through their quest for six. While I’m still a huge fan of Tim Tebow as a person of character, Tebowing has lived past its shelf life and it’s all about the Kaepernicking. These are serious times, people. Even this kid knows what’s up.

In the spirit of the (playoff) season, two of my favorite blogging peeps are once again hosting a friendly Runner’s Wager.

You can visit Pavement Runner and NYC Running Mama to sign up and if you’re not a Niner fan, you can start picking a day to run your #milesofshame. Personally, I’m hoping for a HarBowl, because family always makes everything more interesting, right?

Are you a fan of football? Who are you rooting for?

  1. I about died laughing while reading your first paragraph of this post! If only I could get so lucky to time my in-laws visits like that! :)

  2. Our team (Seahawks) lost last weekend. I thought my husband was going to die of a heart attack. I wished he had my HR monitor on because you could just see his BP spiking towards the end of the game. Men and football are funny!

    • THAT is hilarious. A friend of mine lives in Washington as well, so it’s always fun to let the mockery run rampant, but yes, men and football are totally a riot. Now that we’re heading into our forties, there’s not as much post-game depression if they end up losing. ;)
