I’ve been adding more runs to my workouts over the past few weeks. Partly because my body isn’t healed up enough to lift as heavy as I would like, and more importantly partly because I miss my running peeps. Over Memorial Day weekend, I met up with my running group and we ran up to the Mt. Soledad Memorial. It was one long hill, but totally worth it for the view, not to mention remembering the sacrifices so many have made for our freedom.

Then this weekend I got to fake it like I had a race to run and had fun with a little ProCompression shakeout run hosted by Skinny Runner and Stuft Mama. (Someone didn’t send me the group photo, but she’s a nice sharer and you can read her recap of our run here).

Being surrounded by so much awesomeness has reminded me how much I miss having running as part of my regular schedule. Since it’s National Running Day, I’ve got that itch once again. You know…

It’s nice to finally have that itch for a race again, let’s see how many races it takes to scratch that itch!! It’s been a slow comeback with some slow runs, but it’s all good.
